Much Ado

"They say the lady is fair, 'tis a truth, I can bear them witness; and virtuous, 'tis so, I cannot reprove it; and wise, but for loving me - by my troth, it is no addition to her wit, nor no great argument of her folly; for I will be horribly in love with her. "

' Please, PLEASE, put on a f*ing shirt!"

Hilarious. Tina Fey and Steve Carrell are hilarious :) It had me cracking up at all the subtle humor and inserts they had

And i was filled with envy at Tina Fey's dress - the rich blue color, folds to her knees (I can't wear that mini-stuff :( ) - she looked so pretty, even as she was shouting (almost) obscenities at her husband and the bad guys. :)

We're going to have ourselves some fun

Yesterday, my parents and I traveled far and wide to Monterey, California
I drove the 1 hour 40 minute drive myself, while my parents gripped the handles of the car in fearMy dad wore his safety vest and his NASA hat
I fought pirates for control of the ship
I think my dad had a better time being friends with them though!
It was a beautiful day, and the boy in the red sweater was dying to be photographed.

We ate in a fancy restaurant with an ocean view
I camouflaged my shorts with the napkins
We pretended to be fancy
Photos from 20 years ago were recreated :)
Fishermen were fought
This is typical for my family. My dad spilled his coffee trying to get the last drops,

while mi madre ignored him and kept reading and stretching
But there's always time for a good picture together :) The cup is victorious.

Then we got our bikes
I plumped up some birds

My head was stroked on the ocean side,
And then we rode home.
A lovely day with lovely weather - warm sun, light ocean breeze, and speedy bikes going up and down the hills :) I fell asleep as soon as the car started on the way home to leave my poor dad driving!

p.s. sorry for the teeny pictures :( I'm new to this sort of thing!

Che Gelinda Manina

I am having a fabulous time with Puccini.

"Che gelida manina! se la lasci riscaldar.
Cercar che giova? al buio non si trova.
Ma per fortuna e una notte di luna,
E qui la luna labbiiamo vicina.
Aspetti, signorina, le diro con due parole chi son,
Chi son, e che faccio, come vivo, vuole?
Chi son? chi son? son un poeta.
Che cosa faccio? scrivo. e come vivo? vivo.
In poverta mia lieta scialo da gran signore
Rimi ed inni damore.
Per sogni e per chimere e per castelli in aria
Lanima ho milionaria.
Or che mi conoscete parlate voi.
Deh parlate. chi siete? vi piaccia dir?

Synopses

It is christmas eve on paris left bank. rodolfo is at home

Writing when a stranger knocks at the door. it is mimi, a neighbor, who needs to

Borrow a match to relight her candle. mimi is barely out the door, when she

Realizes she has lost her key. as they search for it, rodolfos hand falls upon
Hers.

English translation
How cold your little hand is! will you let me warm it for you?
Why bother looking? its dark, and we wont find it.
Its our good luck, though, this nights filled with moonlight,
Up here the moonlight could rest on our shoulders.
Please wait, my dear young lady, and I will quickly tell you
Who stands before you, and what I do,
How I make my living. may i?
Who am i? what am i? I am a poet.
What keeps me busy? writing! and what do I live on? nothing!
In poverty Im cheerful, I am a prince who squanders
Arias and couplets of longing.
And as for hopes and dreams of love and castles-in-the-air,
Miss, I am a millionaire!
My fortress could be broken in, robbed clean of the fine jewels
I store; if the theives were eyes like yours.
And now that I have seen you, all of my lovely dreaming,
All of the sweetest dreams Ive dreamt, quickly have slipped away.
This theft does not upset me, because such treasures
Mean nothing now that Im rich with sweet hope!
And now that you have met me, I ask you please,
Tell me, lady, who you are, I ask you please!"

To Be Honest

I am having a fabulous spring break.
And am feeling splendid (:
Today? A foray into library shelves, meeting with vHo, dinner with auntie, uncle, grandma and the parents

Whatever falls in between will be fun and exciting :)

"A child who does not play is not a child, but the man who doesn't play has lost forever the child who lived in him and who he will miss terribly."
Pablo Neruda

Wishing you all a blissful break~
